Tom Holland spoke about the possibility of returning as Spider-Man for a fourth film of the Marvel franchise in an interview with deadline during the Sands International Film Festival.
“The simple answer is that I will always want to do Spider-Man movies,” Holland said. “I owe my life and career to 'Spider-Man.' So the simple answer is yes. I will always want to do more.”
Tom Holland is dating actress Zendaya, who played MJ, the hero's romantic interest in the Spider-Man films. The two met while filming the film.
However, the actor clarified that he and the rest of the team behind the franchise's films want to make a fourth film that does justice to the others — especially the third film in the franchise, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which featured with the participation of the actors who played the hero in other films, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
“The third film was so special in so many ways that we need to make sure we do the right thing,” he added in the interview with Deadline. “We will have the best in the business working on whatever the story is. But until we can decide, we have a legacy to protect.”
“This is the first time I have been part of this creation process so early. It's just a process where I'm observing and learning. It's a really fun phase for me. Like I said, everyone wants this to happen. But we want to make sure we’re not repetitive with the same things,” said the actor.
