TON developers announced that when distributing tokens for the Hamster Kombat clicker game, they will use the new Mintless Jettons technology, which will allow for more efficient distribution of HMSTR among millions of users.

TON emphasized that the new technology could be an effective solution to the problem of blockchain overload due to a surge in activity, and would also help reduce the costs of issuing tokens.

With the old Jetton technology (the token standard on TON), an airdrop required minting tokens for each recipient and placing multiple smart contracts on the blockchain. This cost app creators significant amounts of money.

Thanks to the new Mintless Jetton technology, the smart contract for issuing coins will be activated by the user himself, and the gas fee will be debited from his wallet, which must have a positive balance in Toncoin.

TON representatives warned network validators about the increased load on the blockchain, since the number of active Hamster Kombat users who will begin issuing tokens is more than 100 million per month.

Earlier, the Hamster Kombat team published a roadmap for 2025, promising to launch a separate application and integrate payment systems into the project’s infrastructure.
