Tourism should grow 60% by the end of the year, says Brazilian Association of Operators

The projections of the Brazilian Association of Tour Operators (Braztoa) are that, by the end of the year, the sector will grow 60%.

“Tourism should surpass the historic record in 2019, pre-pandemic, in a very strong recovery”, said the president of the Association, Roberto Nedelciu, in an interview with CNN Radio .

Even with the real devalued against the dollar and euro, he pointed out that the demand is very high for international travel.

“The market has a problem of lack of manpower, after a reduction in the pandemic period, and now there is a lack of specialized people in operators and travel agencies, it is difficult to find people with knowledge, because many have changed branches.”

According to Roberto Nedelciu, jobs are being created “with remuneration even above what they had because of the demand and shortage of professionals.”

The president of Braztoa advises that people who want to travel abroad plan in advance: “If you leave it at the last minute, you will have difficulty finding good conditions and even vacancies for what you want to do.”

Among the main international destinations, Roberto Nedelciu mentions the United States – especially Orlando, California, Miami and New York – and European countries such as Portugal, Spain and Italy.
