A year ago, Toyota Motor introduced the bZ4X electric crossover, which has now reached the stage of mass production and is ready to appear on the European market.
Buyers are offered a single-engine version with front-wheel drive and a twin-engine version, which is equipped with an all-wheel drive system. The first version with an engine on the front axle has a power of 204 hp. and a battery with a capacity of 71.4 kWh, which is enough for 516 km on the WLTP cycle. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.4 seconds and top speed is limited to 160 km/h. The car supports fast charging (from 0 to 80% in half an hour).
The all-wheel drive Toyota bZ4X is slightly more powerful (two motors have a total power of 217 hp), the battery in this model is the same, while the cruising range is 470 km. The car in this configuration is more dynamic and can exchange the first “hundred” for 7.7. The maximum speed is limited to the same 160 km / h.
The Toyota bZ4X is based on Toyota’s own e-TNGA architecture, and Subaru, which produces a similar model called Solterra under its own brand, was responsible for the power plant.
The Toyota bZ4X is available for pre-order now starting at €60,000 and will go on sale this summer.
