A 10-year-old girl, who had gone for a ride with other children on their bicycles and was run over by an 83-year-old driver in France on Wednesday, succumbed to her injuries today, AFP reports citing the prosecution, with the case being it is an occasion to open a public debate about whether someone should be allowed to drive for life. The death of the child, who was in a “very critical condition” after the accident in La Rochelle, in the western part of the country, was announced this morning, Arnaud Larez, the La Rochelle prosecutor, told AFP.
