Traveling to Disney improves your mental health according to psychiatrist

When we think of Disneyland, an atmosphere of happiness, friendly characters, and delicious food immediately comes to mind. Total magic!

For this reason, it is not uncommon for even psychiatrists to recommend spending a few days in this fun place to fill us with optimism.

Dr. Jeremy Sanders mentions in Psychiatry Today that he has taken a new approach to his patients: trips to Disney parks. According to Sanders, a person’s well-being can be positively affected with a simple visit to this fun theme park.

My patients have the option of traveling with their family to help promote positive changes in their behavior while developing lifelong memories. I usually suggest that my patients purchase an annual pass so that they can continue on their path of emotion management.

The psychiatrist prescribes this type of trip only as support in conjunction with conventional medical treatments and never as the only method in case of serious illnesses such as depression.
