Trend is for temperatures to rise from Wednesday, says meteorologist

The new cold front that hits especially the South and Southeast regions of the country should lose strength as of Wednesday (15), according to meteorologist Maria Clara Sassaki, from Climatempo.

Thermometers in São Paulo, for example, reached 12 degrees, with a thermal sensation below 10 degrees, as a result of the polar air mass.

“This time, the coldest weather was concentrated in the South, with minimum temperature records, in São Paulo we felt the effect since Monday, but in the Midwest and North areas, the so-called cold was not so significant”, he said, in an interview with CNN Radio .

She highlighted that “by the end of the week we will have low temperatures, but the polar air mass is moving away” and therefore “the trend is for temperatures to rise in the coming days.”

However, starting on Friday, during the Corpus Christi holiday, isolated rain is forecast in the southern states and in São Paulo, although the feeling of cold should improve.

In the case of the Northeast, the Pernambuco region, which is heavily affected by the rains, should have rainfall, but in “lower accumulated volumes.”

Even so, Maria Clara Sassaki warns that, as the soil is still affected by the record rains at the end of last month, “it is necessary to monitor risk areas from any rain”.
