The Turkish Ministry of Health announced yesterday Friday that 18,910 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in the previous 24 hours after 356,106 tests, with the registered infections reaching a total of 9,266,516.
The deaths of 133 patients due to complications of COVID-19 increased the death toll to 81,258 dead until yesterday, March 11, 2020, when the new coronavirus pandemic broke out in Turkish territory.
As of January 14, 2021, almost 52 million people – out of a total population of 83 million – have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and nearly 57 million have received a dose, according to official figures. A total of 127.99 million doses have been given, including third-party souvenirs.
