Turkey: Compulsory PCR tests for the unvaccinated – Who cares

In Turkey from yesterday is required to submit to PCR test unvaccinated workers in some occupations and those traveling by public transport from city to city as part of measures to tackle the pandemic of the new coronavirus.

Those who do not provide full vaccination certificate for COVID-19 or a negative molecular test result will not be allowed to move.

Unvaccinated teachers, school staff and university students are also required to take negative tests, as a new school year started today with a physical presence.

20,962 cases and 271 dead in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health announced that 20,962 infections from SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in the previous 24 hours after 301,164 tests, with the total number of recorded cases reaching 6,519,016.

The deaths of 271 patients with COVID-19 have increased the death toll from the new coronavirus pandemic to 58,377 as of yesterday, March 11, 2020, when it broke out in Turkey.

Since the immunization campaign was launched in Turkey on January 14th, 49.94 million people have received a vaccine dose, a second 38.62 million, and a total of more than 97.98 million doses have been administered, including third-party boosters, according to data of the ministry.
