Twitter officially launches paid subscription: not available everywhere yet

Microblogging service Twitter announced the launch of a subscription. The new service is called Twitter Blue and is designed to provide extended functionality to existing capabilities. At the first stage, it will be available to residents of Canada and Australia for $ 2.88 and $ 3.44, respectively. The company noted that they first want to get “a deeper understanding of what exactly makes Twitter individual.”

Those who subscribe to Twitter Blue will get additional features that include bookmarked folders, Reading Mode, and the ability to unpost Tweets within 30 seconds.

Unpublishing a message on Twitter is perhaps one of the highest priority features. Users set a timer of up to 30 seconds on their own, during which they can unpublish a tweet. Thus, it is possible to edit it: correct errors, add or remove information. Moreover, before publishing, you can preview what the tweet will look like before other users of the social network see it.

Reading mode allows you to easily and orderly view tweets, and also allows you to conveniently track long threads and other content, turning them into plain text. Finally, a paid subscription adds bookmark folders as an easier way to organize your saved tweets.

Subscribers will also have access to privileges such as swappable app icons, a variety of skins, and special access to tech support. All of these features are selected based on feedback from the Twitter community and will continue to expand.
