A small plane crashed around 6am this Friday (7), moments after takeoff on a farm in Sorriso, Mato Grosso. Two people died in the accident, which happened in a rural area about 10 kilometers from the city center.
According to the Fire Department, witnesses reported that the aircraft had taken off towards the municipality of São José do Rio Claro (MT), but was returning to the runway due to a possible breakdown, when it crashed.
The fuselage caught fire shortly after the crash. Firefighters have already controlled the flames, but the two occupants of the plane died.
Due to the fire, it has not yet been possible to identify the victims.
