Two people died and four others were injured after a small twin-engine plane crashed into houses in the Vila Mutirão I neighborhood, in Goiânia (GO). The accident occurred around 17:10 this Wednesday (22).
According to the Fire Department, all the victims were occupants of the aircraft. That is, there were no deaths and injuries of people on the ground.
The mayor of Goiânia, Rogério Cruz (Republicans), published on a social network that the dead were identified as Bruno Rodrigues da Rocha and Leonardo Rodrigues da Rocha.
The injured were taken to the Governor Otávio Lage de Siqueira State Emergency Hospital (Hugol).
“As soon as I was informed about the accident, I determined that the Civil Defense would immediately act to help the victims. Our team is on site, along with the Fire Department and other emergency sectors, to provide all assistance to residents and neighbors”, said the mayor.
Agents from the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa) went to the scene to begin investigations into the causes of the accident.

The plane that crashed was an Embraer model EMB-810D prefix PT-VQV. The twin-engine turboprop aircraft has capacity for six people, including two crew members.
According to the Brazilian Aeronautical Registry, from the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), the crashed aircraft belonged to the company Rodrigues e Rocha Holding Empreendimentos Patrimoniiais Ltda and was manufactured in 1993. CNN sought the company, but still did not get a response.
