Ukraine is ready to offer special conditions to companies wishing to develop weapons production together with Kiev, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday (30).
He made the comments while meeting representatives of defense companies from several countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Turkey, Sweden and the Czech Republic.

“It will be a mutually beneficial partnership. I think this is a good time and place to create a large military hub,” said Zelensky, his second cabinet.
“Air shield and mine clearance are the two biggest priorities for us today,” Zelensky said, adding that this includes air defense assets and the production of warning and surveillance systems.
“We have to do this. This will be useful not only for Ukraine, but also for Europe and our neighbors,” he said.
Ukraine is also interested in producing long-range missiles and artillery with new capabilities. The combination of advanced technologies and military tactics will help Ukraine win the war against Russia, Zelensky said.
“That is why we prioritize the development of defense production using modern technologies, the production of projectiles, missiles and drones in Ukraine, in cooperation with global leaders in the field and using our experience in their operation,” Zelensky said.
“Ukraine showed the whole world what really works and I think we can share this experience,” he added.
A CNN has previously reported on Ukraine’s growing local arms industry.
Kiev has developed its own weapons, in part because it allows it to attack Russia outside Ukraine without using Western-supplied weapons.
