Ukraine: US Warns Conflict Would Hurt China’s Interests

The United States has said that any conflict in Ukraine would harm China’s international interests, according to Bloomberg.

The head of NATO rejected the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping to stop any expansion of the military alliance to the east, reaffirming that European states have the right to choose their own allies.
Putin, in Beijing for the start of the Winter Olympics, met with the Chinese leader on Friday to exchange views and promise a bilateral friendship with “no-go zones.” The rating agency Fitch confirmed the rating B for Ukraine, its fifth lowest ranking for garbage.

Moscow has repeatedly denied plans to attack Ukraine, with the United Kingdom and the United States saying the Russians have mobilized nearly 130,000 troops near the border. Russia has denounced the use of NATO forces near the Russian border.
