Ukraine – Zelensky: What is the end of the war for us? The victory

Today’s speech of the Ukrainian president was emotionally charged Volodymyr Zelensky, on the 31st anniversary of the country’s independence, which this year coincides with six months since the start of the Russian invasion.

“Ukraine was “reborn” when Russia invaded and will fight “until the end” without “any concessions or compromises” with Moscow,” he stressed. In his videotaped speech Zelensky also underlined that Ukraine will regain the Russian-annexed Crimea and the occupied areas in its eastern part.

“A new nation appeared in the world on February 24th at 4 am. He was not born, but reborn. A nation that did not cry, scream or fear. A (nation) that did not flee. He did not quit. And he didn’t forgethe said according to APE-MPE, which is cited by AFP and Reuters.

“We will fight for (our territory) until the end. We have been keeping well for six months. It’s tough, but we’ve clenched our fists and are fighting for our destiny. For us, Ukraine is the whole Ukraine. All 25 regions, without any concessions or compromises,” stressed the Ukrainian leader, who appears as usual in military uniform in front of the central independence monument in Kyiv.

What is the end of the war for us? Before we used to say: peace. Now we say: victory. We will not seek to collude with the terrorists,” concluded the 44-year-old president of the country, referring to the Russians.

The streets of central Kiev were unusually empty this morning after days of warnings that Russia might launch new missile attacks on major cities today.
