One of the biggest criminal factions in the country, the First Command of the Capital (PCC), faces a “crack” at its top also known as the “final tune”, according to the assessment of prosecutor Lincoln Gakiya, from the Special Action and Combating Organized Crime Group, Gaeco, in Presidente Prudente, in the interior of São Paulo.
Since 2006, the prosecutor, who is part of the group that is part of the Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo (MP-SP), has been dedicated to processes that investigate the PCC and highlights the unprecedented moment experienced by the faction.
According to Gakya, the origin of the division in the faction happened after a “salve”, which came from the leaders Roberto Soriano, Tiriça, Abel Pacheco de Andrade, Vida Loka – excluding and decreeing the death of Marco Willians Herbas Camacho, 56, Marcola , appointed as the top leader of the São Paulo faction, for betrayal, misconduct and “smuggling”.
The order to kill the man who is appointed as the faction's top leader, who has sentences that exceed more than 500 years in prison, would have had the participation of another criminal at the top of the faction, Wanderson de Paula Lima, Andinho.
For the decree, the criminals based themselves on a conversation between Marcola and a lawyer, which was leaked and used in the jury of Roberto Soriano, known as Tiriça. In the dialogue, Marcola would have called his then ally a psychopath for his involvement in the death of a psychologist.
The same audio was analyzed by the faction's leadership, where it was found that Marcola did nothing wrong, in the opinion of other PCC members.
After being “acquitted”, Marcola would have broken ties of friendship and trust with the leaders, who were excluded, which would have started a new dispute for command of the faction.
According to the prosecutor, last Thursday (15), another “hail”, this one signed by Marcola, reached the São Paulo prison system and the streets, decreeing the expulsion and death of the three, for committing slander and treason against Marcola.
Tiriça and the death of the prison officer
Tiriça, who was called a “psychopath” by Marcola, for ordering the death of federal agent Melissa de Almeida Araújo, who was 37 years old and had worked since 2009 as a psychologist at the federal prison in Catanduvas–PR.
Melissa was responsible for providing psychological support to Catanduvas prisoners. She had her routine monitored for at least 40 days and was killed because she was considered an “easy reach” target, according to investigations.
According to the Federal Police, the murder was revenge, and a way to intimidate the work of federal agents within the Federal Prison System.
On May 25, 2017, at around 5 pm, she was killed while pressing the button in the garage of her home, in Cascavel, 55 kilometers from the Catanduvas penitentiary. Two men armed with 9mm pistols shot her.
Melissa's husband, civil police officer Rogério Ferrarezzi, drew his gun and returned fire. He was hit at least eight times. The psychologist got out of the car and ran into the house, but the killers managed to catch up to her. She was subsequently killed with two shots to the face.
One of the shooters died during the shootout with the police officer. Another was injured, managed to escape, but was killed hours later in another shootout with the police. Shortly after the attack, an operation involving several police forces closed the city's exits and managed to arrest four people involved in the crime.
Six years later, in 2023, Tiriça was sentenced by the Federal Court to 31 years and six months in prison.
The court that sentenced Tiriça was formed by the 13th Federal Court of Curitiba.
Conflicts and deaths within the faction
In 2012, Marcos Paulo Nunes da Silva, known as Baianinho Vietnam, arrested at the time in P2 in Presidente Venceslau, in the interior of São Paulo, was accused of taking over a drug sales point and having the former drug boss killed without authorization from the PCC.
Baianinho, was judged by the final tune, ended up excluded from the faction and had his death ordered.
According to Gakiya, Marcola agreed to the exclusion from Vietnam, but suspended the death penalty order. The PCC leader's decision displeased Edilson Borges Nogueira, known as Biroska, who was also imprisoned in the same Vietnam pavilion.
Five years later, a statement in the book by prosecutor Márcio Christino says that Marcola's ex-wife, Ana Maria Olivatto, who died in October 2002, was an informant for the State Department of Criminal Investigations, Deic.
Biroska found out about the quote, and commented within P2 that the case should be investigated.
In December, he was murdered on the sunbathing court, accused of slandering Marcola. His death displeased other members, such as Rogério Jeremias de Simone, Gegê do Mangue, Fabiano Alves de Souza, Paca, Daniel Vinícius Canônico, Cego, Roberto Soriano, Tiriça, among others.
Two of them, Gegê do Mangue and Paca, were shot dead in an ambush in an indigenous reserve in the municipality of Aquiraz. The crime would have happened at the behest of Gilberto Aparecido dos Santos, known as Fuminho, who is not baptized into the faction, but is considered Marcola's right-hand man.
According to Gakiya, Gegê and Paca died after robbing their own faction, in shipments of cocaine that would leave the port of Santos, for other continents. André de Oliveira Macedo, André do Rap, would also have participated in the diversion of drugs at the port.
Wagner Ferreira da Silva, known as Cabelo Duro, was responsible for the death of the two who were identified as traitors to the faction, as he had a relationship of trust with Gegê.
The following year, out of revenge after his involvement in the death of the two PCC leaders, Gegê was murdered with rifle shots in front of a hotel in Jardim Anália Franco, in the east zone of São Paulo.
The retaliation and the “split” did not end there. Cego, who released a “salve” ordering the killing of those involved in the executions of Gegê and Paca, such as Cabelo Duro, ended up excluded from the PCC.
Plan to rescue Marcola
Also in 2018, Gaeco announced the discovery of a plan to rescue Marcola and 21 other PCC leaders, who were in P2 in Presidente Venceslau and also in Presidente Bernardes, both in the interior of São Paulo.
Shortly afterwards, in March 2019, at Gakiya's request, Marcola and the 21 leaders were transferred to federal prisons in Brasília and Porto Velho.
The trio, now Marcola's enemies, had been removed a long time ago.
Domestic Crime Court
In 2021, Nadim Georges Hanna Awad Neto, known as Nadim, was kidnapped, tried and killed by the “crime court”, a kind of parallel state of the PCC. His body has not been found to this day.
Prosecutor Lincoln Gakiya says Nadim died for not carrying out Marcola's rescue plan from the federal penitentiary in Porto Velho. Devanir de Lima Moreira, the Deva, had the same end.
Subsequently, Marcos Roberto de Almeida, known as Tuta, took over the role, but also failed. His expulsion and death were announced by the Public Ministry, for ordering Nadim's death. but he remains at large.
Soon after, the MP-SP made public a “hail” from the PCC, where the organization reported that Tuta had not been murdered, but rather expelled from the organization under accusations of “misconduct” and “lack of responsibility”.
The “save” was released on April 26, 2022, spreading throughout the São Paulo prison system. The message said that “Tuta was in his fight in communication with the PCC, unlike what the media was reporting”.
Valdeci Alves dos Santos, Colorido, who was at the top of the faction, was also expelled, after embezzling money from the organization. The only reason he wasn't killed was because he was involved in the PCC leadership's rescue plan.
Substitute for “Tuta”
Shortly before the “save” where Tuta's whereabouts were announced, Patrick Velinton Salomão, the Forged, was released from the federal penitentiary in Brasília and took Tuta's place. Today, Forjado is the main leader of the PCC on the streets and has been given the mission of rescuing leaders of the faction from prisons.
Marcola and the “bad conduct” of business
This year, Vida Loka and Andinho made peace, after exchanging punches and kicks while sunbathing in August last year, at Complexo da Papuda, in Brasília.
The gesture was the starting point for the rebellion against Marcola. They joined forces with “Tiriça” and formed a trio of enemies, who called for Marcola's death, alleging poor conduct of “Command business”, as well as a lack of responsibility and acting out of their own interests.
Today, the trio, expelled from Primeiro Comando da Capital and Marcola, remain in custody in the same penitentiary, in the federal capital.
