It has caused grief to United Kingdom the news that chef Matt Halford was found dead aged just 38. Matt has worked since he was a teenager at the UK’s only bar located on the beach and has been in the same family for the past 100 years.
38-year-old Matt Halford was found dead at the Watering Hole store. According to her publication Daily Mail, the chef was found dead in front of the store’s cooler and immediately doctors and lifeguards did everything to bring him back to life but failed.
“Matthew was caring, he was a loving father, son and brother. He would put anyone first and he would help anyone he could. He was a hard worker. He played basketball for Cornwall. He was lively, full of life. Still we are trying to process his loss. Matt was working with his chef friend, Max. He had gone to the bar fridge and was late returning. Then Max went to look for him. He found him fallen.
Bob, the owner, tried CPR but it was too late. He was a good and healthy man. He last went to the doctor in 2016. He was a non-smoker and he had stopped drinking, he never took drugs, he was in really good shape,” said his devastated mother Joanne Ballinger, 61.
