Upcoming Intel desktop processors are the new kings of single-threaded mode. Core i9-11900K sets PassMark record
Judging by the already numerous leaks, the upcoming Intel Rocket Lake desktop processors, despite the old 14-nanometer process technology, will still be quite productive.
At least single threaded performance will be quite high. Once again, this is confirmed by the PassMark benchmark base, where two new CPUs took the first two places.
The Core i7-11700K is gaining 3548 points, slightly outperforming the Ryzen 7 5800X, and the Core i9-11900K, due to its high frequency, is gaining 3764 points, that is, it is significantly ahead of any other CPU.
However, both new Intel products are not so impressive in multi-threaded mode. The junior CPU gets 27,108 points, and the older one – 28,082 points. At the same time, the same Ryzen 7 5800X shows a result already at 28,681 points, while the 12-core Ryzen 5900X, which, according to the recommended prices, will probably be about $ 50 more expensive than the new Intel flagship, is completely unattainable with its almost 40,000 points. …
