“There is absolutely no reason to touch a 16-year-old girl’s butt like that. It’s grossly inappropriate,” someone wrote on Twitter, according to the Daily Mail. “As the video went on it got worse and worse.”
Another person reportedly wrote that the men were acting “creepy” with the teenage athlete.
“The WTA needs to look into these, especially since these young girls are traveling with men from a very young age. Also you can say it’s dad’s fault or wtv but does your dad touch your butt like that?,” another user reportedly wrote on twitter.
However, not all Twitter users reacted to the incident in the same way, as some took it as normal.

“It’s quite common in the Czech Republic,” another person tweeted, according to the Daily Mail. “It’s not something I would do, but a lot of men just don’t think about it in a sexual way. Google our Easter traditions, you might be shocked,” he added.
Another added that cuddling is “absolutely normal in some cultures and households. Everyone sees what they want to see.”
The response of the 16-year-old tennis player

While the social media appealed to the WTA to investigate the incident, Bejlek shared her thoughts on the incident.
“Of course I saw the video. It was a spontaneous reaction of the whole team. We were happy,” Bejlek told reporters. “Sure it might seem awkward and unpleasant to some, but we’ve already discussed it with the team and it won’t happen again.”

“Dad is my dad and always will be. And I’ve known the coach since I was eight years old. He’s filming me, giving me a massage,” he added.
“If something similar happened in the Czech Republic, no one would deal with it. But since we’re in America, everyone’s commenting on it. But like I said, we talked and it won’t happen again.”
Bejlek made her debut on his main board US Open on Monday, losing to Russian Ludmilla Samsonova – world No. 35 – in the first round, 6-1, 6-3.
