Two US Air Force RQ-4 Global Hawk reconnaissance drones, as well as the RC-135W strategic reconnaissance aircraft of the British Air Force, conducted reconnaissance near the borders of Crimea and southern Russia. This is evidenced by data from the Flightradar24 service.

An RQ-4, numbered GINGR68, is believed to have flown from Israeli territory, while another US Air Force drone numbered FORTE10 is likely to have flown from a NATO airbase in Sigonella, Italy.
