A U.S. federal appeals court has suspended a vaccination order imposed by President Joe Biden on employees of companies with more than 100 employees to address possible “serious constitutional issues.”
The US president’s measure obliges tens of millions of workers to be vaccinated against Covid-19 by January 4, otherwise they will have to undergo very regular tests. The measure has been challenged in court, mostly by the Republican-controlled state of Texas.
The federal appeals order was issued after several Republican-led states filed lawsuits against the new measure, which is due to take effect Jan. 4.
