US recommends that population wear “the most protective mask possible”

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) U.S revised this Friday (14) its guidelines for Americans on the use of More expensive, recommending wearing “the most protective mask possible”, although the agency has not called for a national use of N95 masks.

The CDC clarified on its website “that people can choose respirators like N95s and KN95s, including being free of worries related to running out of supplies for N95s.”

The body added that citizens should “wear the most protective mask they can, which fits well and which you will wear consistently”.

According to the statement, “While all masks and respirators provide some level of protection, properly fitted respirators provide the highest level.”

The cases of Covid-19 in the United States have soared, and more Americans are opting for higher-grade protection.

The United States reported 1.35 million new coronavirus infections on Monday, beating the global record for daily cases in any country.

It is now estimated that the Ômicron variant account for 98.3% of the total new cases circulating in the country, according to the CDC.
