The Supreme Court confirmed the authenticity of the leaked document in a statement Tuesday in Roe v. Wade, who defined, in 1973, that he decided on abortion as a constitutional right in the country.
“Yesterday, a journalistic body published a copy of the draft opinion in a pending process. Ministers circulate draft opinions internally as a routine and essential part of the Court’s confidential deliberative work. While the document described in yesterday’s reports is authentic, it does not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member on the issues of the case,” the statement said.
Chief Justice John Roberts called the leak a “singular and blatant breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court and the community of public servants who work here.”
Roberts said he asked the Chief Justice of the Court to investigate the leak.

In an unprecedented breach of U.S. Supreme Court confidentiality, the website “Politico” published on Monday (2) what would be the draft majority opinion written by Judge Samuel Alito that would overturn the decision in Roe v. Wade.
According to the draft, the court would nullify the federal constitutional right of Roe v. Wade to abortion. The opinion would be the most consequential abortion decision in decades and would transform the landscape of women’s reproductive health in the US.

I have ordered the Delegate of the Court to initiate an investigation into the source of the leak.”
