Twitter announced today that it has permanently suspended the operation of one of the accounts of the Republican Party MP Marjorie Taylor Green, who is accused of violating the rules of the social media regarding the information about the pandemic.
The social media account closed the personal account of @mtgreenee, on which this ardent supporter of Donald Trump posted a lot of false information about the vaccines against Covid-19.
Green, who also reproduced allegations of electoral fraud made by the former president without proof, nevertheless maintains her account as @RepMTG elected to the House of Representatives.
The social media did not specify which messages were a problem, but it refers to a press release sent to the French Agency, in the “system of escalating penalties”, before suspending the operation of an account.
Green’s account had already been blocked for a week in August because she had written that the vaccines “did not work”. Yesterday, he cited, without giving any real facts, “an extremely high number of deaths due to vaccines against Covid”.
Today, Green strongly criticized the social media decision: Twitter “is an enemy of America and can not face the truth,” she wrote in a press release.
“It’s not serious, I want to show America that it does not need them.”
