President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the United States will take control and will be owned by the Gaza Strip, adding that “the same people” should not be in charge of rebuilding and occupying the land.
Trump stated that “we (United States) we will develop Gaza.” The US president has again defended an effort to permanently reset Palestinians in places outside the enclave.
“The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with her too,” said Trump.
“We will have it and will be responsible for dismantling all unlocked dangerous pumps and other weapons on site. To level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings, to level it, create an economic development that will provide an unlimited number of jobs and houses for people in the area, do a real job, do something different, ”he added.
Trump said he sees the United States having a “long -term property position” in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who spoke alongside Trump at a press conference, said the idea of US President was worth paying attention.
Trump earlier on Tuesday supported the idea of relocating Gaza Palestinians-a suggestion that was discarded by several Arab nations in the region.
