A survey of Skuola.net says that 6 out of 10 graduates are ready to be vaccinated. Many have already done so in Sicily and Lazio. The other regions are ready to go. For a safe examination everyone is ready for the vaccination of those who have to make the maturity. In Sicily vaccines have been made as early as May 26, without reservations: the serums are AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson for adults, Pfizer for those who have not yet turned 18. From Tuesday 1 to Thursday 3 June the 40 thousand students who have booked in Lazio were vaccinated.
The Puglia it started in recent days, collecting memberships through local health authorities and schools. From Saturday 29 May reservations are open for children aged 17 to 20 in Campania and vaccinations start on June 1st. For 17-year-olds the vaccine is Pfizer, for others Johnson & Johnson. Molise opens reservations today.
The other regions follow suit. From 3 June, vaccinations are open to everyone without age limits and, according to the modalities of the different regions, even the children who have to face the final exams from 16 June could get the vaccine. In total there are half a million students.
Many regions have already chosen the path ofOpen Day: on 2 June the Valle d’Aosta, Sardinia and Trentino-Alto Adige, which has Astrazeneca evenings open to all since 19 May. Remain to focus on the elderly and the vulnerable Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany.
Today comes the green light of Aifa, the Italian drug agency, to the Pfizer vaccine also for children up to 12 years old. There are no defined rules, but for children between 12 and 15 years, the Minister of Health Speranza said that basic pediatricians must be used: “Italian pediatricians are pediatricians of extraordinary quality who have a local roots, a very important trust with families. I would like to see their maximum protagonism always in coordination with the territories and regions ». However, many young people no longer have a reference pediatrician from the age of 14 and there are those who even go to the GP before.
In total there are 8.5 million children who could be vaccinated. For the minors registration must necessarily pass through parental authorization.
