A new medical bulletin said the model Vera Viel 48, wife of presenter Rodrigo Faro 50, “is clinically stable and will remain hospitalized for follow-up” after undergoing surgery to remove a malignant and rare tumor on Friday (11).
Rodrigo Faro had already announced that his wife was doing well after surgery to remove synovial sarcoma located on her left thigh.
The procedure lasted more than eight hours, but was uneventful, according to the Albert Einstein Hospital, where Vera is admitted in the capital of São Paulo.
On Thursday (10), Vera Viel announced on social media that a tumor was found on her left thigh.
“I have synovial sarcoma, a rare and malignant tumor on my left thigh. I’m ready to face this battle,” she said.
The surgical intervention took place on the eve of Vera’s birthday, who turns 49 this Saturday (12).
