Video: Beluga whale scares children with “grimaces” in aquarium

A child just wanted to have fun when visiting an aquarium in Tianjin, China, but was scared by the “grimacing” of a whale.

The beluga’s open mouth scared the little girl, who started crying when the animal approached.

According to Fox 26, aquarium staff call this behavior “friendly communication,” as beluga whales are known for making these faces/opening their mouths.

It’s not difficult to find videos of these friendly whales scaring little ones in aquariums in different countries.

At the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut, USA, Juno It is a whale that is very adept at scaring children and adults and has already become one of the main attractions of the place.

Beluga whales

The beluga is a cetacean that lives in the Arctic and subarctic oceans. Due to the shape of its head and the lack of a dorsal fin, it is also nicknamed the “finless dolphin”.

One of the reasons belugas are fascinating to humans is that they are intelligent animals with keen senses such as hearing, in addition to making many different sounds.
