Video cards continue to get cheaper all over the world (except for Russia, which is due to all known events), but in the US, some rather powerful models have come close to the recommended retail price. We are talking about GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and Radeon RX 6900 XT.

According to a source, local retailer Microcenter has reduced the price of the ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Ti TUF Gaming by $250 to $700. And that’s just $100 more than the recommended price. There have been no such prices on the 3D-card market for a long time. In addition, it is worth considering that we are talking about an overclocked model with three fans – these are usually much more expensive than the reference ones. It is not surprising that the so affordable GeForce RTX 3070 Ti was quickly sold out, but, apparently, new ones will be brought in soon.

Another illustrative option, this time with the top-end Radeon RX 6900 XT, was sold by a retailer for $1,050. That’s just $50 above the manufacturer’s recommended price. And, again, we are talking about the MSI model with a non-reference cooling system based on three fans.

Along with such powerful models, simpler 3D cards are also getting cheaper. For example, Microcenter is offering the EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 XC Gaming for $430, which is only $100 more than the recommended price.

In general, prices are normalizing, and this is good news. It is expected that they will return to full capacity in the third quarter, that is, in July-August.
