NASA has released a shocking video from the International Space Station, which shows the disastrous passage of typhoon Italy in Florida of the USA.
The picture is shocking as gusty winds of 125 mph (201 km) sweep across Florida as the hurricane makes landfall and some parts of the state are already flooded, with water covering roads and towns.
Flooding was also reported in Clearwater, Tampa and other areas, where those residents who remained were forced to move to higher elevations by wading through the water.
“The flooding we’re experiencing now is nothing compared to what’s going to happen in a few hours,” Tampa Mayor Jane Castor warned, explaining that sea levels will rise in the next few hours.
More than 286,000 households were without power this morning (local time) across Florida, according to the specialist website Poweroutage.us.
