Two men were arrested in Salvador (BA) after stealing a car in the parking lot of the campus of the School of Dentistry of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), on Tuesday night (9). The victims are students at the university. The car was recovered and the pair arrested about an hour after the crime was reported.
After the crime, the victims filed a report at the university, which reported the images of the exact moment the criminals acted to the Bahia Military Police.
In the images it is possible to see the moment when one of the men leaves a car and approaches the student who was talking, through the car window, with a friend outside. See the video:
The robbers, aged 24 and 32, were located by the military police. The PM located the suspects and approached the vehicle on Av. Afrânio Peixoto, in the Alto do Cabrito neighborhood.
A .32 caliber revolver was found with the robbers, with the serial number scratched off.
The military police also identified that the car that was providing support for the criminal action belonged to the father of one of the suspects. The vehicle’s license plate had been tampered with using insulating tape, a technique used to make it difficult for the authorities to recognize the vehicle.
In a statement, UFBA reported that there was no physical aggression towards the victims.
