The Minister of National Defense, Nikos Panagiotopoulos, is visiting Israel from this afternoon until the day after.
During his stay in Israel, N. Panagiotopoulos will visit tomorrow the Holy Temple of the Resurrection where the Holy Sepulcher is located, while he will meet with the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III. Afterwards, the Minister of National Defense will have a meeting with his Israeli counterpart Benny Gandz.
The Israeli embassy in Athens, in a post on twitter, states, among other things, that the Greek Minister of National Defense is “welcome and a friend”, as relations “are becoming stronger”.
He described the visit as “important for finding new areas of co-operation”, adding that “the security and defense sectors are pillars of bilateral relations” between the two countries and have a “direct contribution to regional security”.
