It needed a “strong paper” against its competitors who, in the past, announced new additions. He claims to have found it.
Vodafone TV announced its new program, which highlights the launch of the original Disney + content (Vodafone and Disney currently have an exclusive partnership in Greece) and the new additions to the HBO (Warner Media) list.

Currently, the company and on the occasion of the addition of Disney +, announced that Vodafone TV starts from 6.30 euros per month (without decoder and without commitment) and 8.50 euros (with decoder and 12-month or 24-month commitment) or completely free with Vodafone Triple Play FIBER 100 and 200 programs.
According to estimates by telecommunications market analysts, Vodafone TV subscribers number between 140,000 and 150,000, with the company claiming that, at the end of March, fixed telephony customers numbered 972,000.
Competition in pay-TV is intensifying
Pay-TV is also gaining ground (and) in Greece and new digital platforms are emerging, intensifying competition.
For example, COSMOTE TV, which at the end of the first quarter of 2022 had 637 thousand subscribers, although it lost the rights of the Premier League, which moved again to NOVA, acquired the rights of Olympiacos.
Now, “strong cards” of COSMOTE TV is the Greek Super League, since it has the most teams (Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, AEK, etc.), the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, the Italian Championship, etc. a.
Respectively, NOVA – WIND, which is estimated to have up to 400,000 TV subscribers and recently announced (and for the first time) combined commercial packages (NOVA and WIND are in the process of merging, under the “umbrella” of United Group), have Premier League, the Euroleague, the Spanish, the German, the French Championship, etc.
Respectively, ANT1 + has the exclusive rights to the World Cup in Qatar, which will be held in the winter. Currently, ANT1 will broadcast at least 32 of the 64 matches, the rest with a subscription to ANT1 +.
However, as it has been clarified from the Maroussi channel, the start, quarterfinals, semifinals and final of the Football World Cup will be broadcast by ANT1 freely and without any subscription.
Finally, Netflix has a remarkable presence in Greece, with 400,000 – 500,000 subscribers, according to estimates, while just a few days ago Disney + was launched, following Amazon Prime and Apple TV.
