Volodymyr Zelensky: What does Russia want to win in Solentar? The city is destroyed, it is covered with corpses of invaders

Special reference to the soldiers resisting the attacks launched by Russian forces in the city of Solentar, did o Ukrainian chairman, Volodymyr Zelenskyexpressing his thanks for the valuable time they have gained.

In his standard video message, President Zelensky said “thank you to our soldiers protecting Bahamut and the fighters in Soledar resisting new, even more violent attacks from the invaders”.

Retaining control of Soledar and Bakhmut, about 14 kilometers apart, is seen as vital to protecting the defense lines of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, cities in eastern Ukraine that remain under Kiev’s control.

Taking them would be tantamount to conquering all of Donbas, a goal set by Russia when the war began, on February 24, 2022.

“The battle for Donbas continues”Ukrainian leader said and added: “The invaders have concentrated their efforts on Solentar, the result of this effort will be the victory of Ukraine and the complete liberation of Donbas”.

“The conditions are very difficult. There aren’t even whole walls in the buildings. What does Russia want to gain there? Everything is completely destroyed, there is almost no life left. Thousands of their people perished, all the land of Solentar is covered with the corpses of invaders and “scars” from the attacks. This is the face of madness”Zelensky stated.

At the same time, he emphasized that there is now more and more between the agreements with partners for the provision of military assistance and the sending of new equipment to the front line, a development that strengthens Ukraine’s military capabilities. “Every day that passes means terrorism, death and much suffering. That is why Ukraine must take what it needs to expel the invaders immediately and protect its people from possible Russian escalation.”he said.
