Projects that are expected to be implemented in the next two years, which will significantly contribute to improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the area and their cost will exceed 30 million euros, announced Deputy Interior Minister Stelios Petsas, who visited Volos.
Mr. Petsas had meetings with the governor of Thessaly Costas Agorastos and the mayor of Volos Achilleas Beo, and expressed his pleasure for the visit to the city, emphasizing that “we care about projects and not words to improve the quality of life. -Important project is the wastewater management in Ano and Kato Lechonia with the cost reaching 5.3 million euros.
-Another project is the waste management of the Municipality of Volos, with funding reaching 1.2 million euros.
-In the very important projects that will be done in Volos, in collaboration with the Region of Thessaly, since it was the idea of Costas Agorastos, is the bicycle track which is part of the program “Antonis Tritsis” and will be built in Nea Ionia, where there is a sports hive and its funding will be 7.7 million euros “.
Especially for the cycling track, Stelios Petsas said that the project must be implemented quickly and delivered within 24 months, if there is cooperation between the municipality and the region, while the governor of Thessaly, for his part, referred to the importance of the cycling track and described it as ” “An important and important project, since Volos highlights top athletes in the field of cycling and the goal of the region is to deliver the project as soon as possible, because it will increase the number of visitors and arrivals of athletes for training”.
