Von der Leyen says supply of potential COVID-19 vaccines could start in earnest in April

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said on Wednesday that the supply of a possible vaccine for COVID-19 in Europe could start “in earnest in April”, as reported by Reuters.

Von der Leyen has also pointed out that companies could deliver up to 50 million vaccines to the European Union, in the best case. Earlier in the day, he acknowledged that they expected coronavirus cases to increase in the next two to three weeks.
