Waitress Reveals Her Secrets to Bravely Tipping Customers – ‘It’s OK to Be Cheeky’

An American woman waitress at Hooters shared her secrets to getting generous tips from customers, clarifying that it’s not about how you dress, do your hair or do your hair. It also has to do with the relationship you develop with them customerssays.

Aby Lynn posted her secrets on TikTok and swears they work for every client she has.

First, she advises every waitress to always take care of her appearance. “People always notice when you take care of yourself,” she says.

She also always tries to keep her customers’ glasses full, which she calls “the most important” thing. “Even if they’re half full, bring them another, because people are impatient”.

The next tip is about the comfort with which you speak to customers, with Aby saying that using diminutives creates a connection. “I like to call them all by their pet names, it makes them feel more comfortable and attracted to you more. I always say: Hey baby, can I get you another drink? Hey sweetie, would you like another beer? Hello sweetie are you ready for the bill?’

And when someone is on a date or with their significant other? “If it’s a boy with a girl, you always greet the girl first. You pay attention to the girl, you have eye contact with her.”

According to Lynn, the only time you will look at the boy is when you are taking his order or handing him his drink.

Having fun at work is also important. “A lot” of laughter is essential. “Even if he doesn’t think it’s funny or even if you’re offended, laugh. Because they’ll tip you, I promise”.

Customers don’t always want an overly sweet waitress, she says, revealing that it’s okay to be sassy with customers, especially older men. As she claims, customers will be more interested in a waitress with a “chagano”. Always with a smile…

Her next secret is kind of… controversial: always blame the kitchen. “If you forgot to bring the food, it’s the kitchen’s fault,” he says and advises to offer “free dessert” to bring the customer back to you.

Her final piece of advice is to have fun, or at least look like you’re having fun.
