War in Ukraine: Donations support the Ukrainian army – Drugs, weapons, drones and cars

In the basement of a building in the center Kiev where before Russian invasion housed offices, volunteers guarding the supplies to be sent to the front lines of the battle, the hope of victory against the Russians.

Among the many objects, drones stand out. This time they are devices sold in stores, but the specific organization created by Serhiy Pritula, a TV presenter who became a politician, recently received a batch of 500 unmanned boats of the Chinese company DJI, according to various international media. The drones are operated by a select group of the Ukrainian army, although many of them had it as a hobby before the war.

His organization manages donations of money or items. Many, Pritoula says, have been sent weapons, bulletproof vests, thermal cameras and even cars. They clearly also receive medical supplies. They sort all those who reach their hands and then in contact with the central management they pack them and send them to the front line. Others are bought by those with the money from the donations.

Such is the enthusiasm among Pritula’s followers on social media that he recently had to ask not to buy a Bayraktar TB2, the Turkish drone that has dealt key blows to Russian forces in various battles on Ukrainian territory. Of course, the Ministry of National Defense is increasingly using such devices to hit the Russians. It is soon expected to be reinforced with 100 drones – kamikaze, the famous American Switchblade.

Similar charities and groups of volunteers have been established throughout Ukraine since the beginning of the war, buying everything that may be useful to their warriors either online or in the open market inside and outside the country.
