The US tonight announced a new $425 million military aid package for Ukraine, at a time when Washington accuses North Korea of sending troops to Russia to fight on the Ukrainian front. This new package, announced just twenty-four hours before the US presidential election, includes air defense equipment, artillery ammunition, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons, according to the Defense Department. These weapons come from the already existing stocks of the US military. Washington “will continue to work (…) to meet Ukraine’s urgent needs on the battlefield to defend against Russian aggression,” the Pentagon said in a statement.
