On TikTok it’s time for a cringe and hilarious trend: the platform is teeming with viral videos in which users let people who have only recently gotten to know them understand why it was better not to have met them in certain extremely embarrassing past phases of their lives.

Tiktokers open the dusty sarcophagus of childhood and adolescence memories, reporting themselves with videos that could potentially jeopardize their dignity or reputation and instead turn out to be funny and relatable because, let’s face it, some more and some less, we’ve all been embarrassing individuals in those ages there, only that, some of us, have had the fortune/misfortune of being able to document it with electronic gadgets and social networks.

In short, if every time that notification comes up Facebook or Instagram that against your will brings back a memory from a handful of years ago, a shiver runs down your spine, even TikTok doesn’t want to be outdone.
