The destruction of 18 of the total 25 drones, which were sent by Russia to hit targets in Ukraine overnight, Volodymyr Zelensky’s country’s air defense said on Friday (1/12).
The Air Force of Ukraine announced, as reported by the Athens News Agency citing Reuters, moreover, that two of the three cruise missiles launched by Russia were destroyed.
Ukrainian authorities have not, at least so far, reported any damage or casualties in the attacks, which they say have always been launched from southwestern Russia and Crimea and sent to hit targets in eastern and southern Ukraine.

The Russian Navy today destroyed a remote-controlled unmanned sea vessel that was heading towards its peninsula Crimeathe Ministry of Defense announced in Moscow.
“Around 8:00 Moscow time (GMT 7:00 Greek time), an unmanned vessel of the Ukrainian navy was spotted in the western sector of the Black Sea moving towards the Crimean peninsula,” according to the ministry, which added that “the target destroyed.”
The Crimean peninsula, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014, has repeatedly been the target of Ukrainian attacks, which have multiplied in recent months.
