‘We want to help you’: Cafeteria offers a job to a man who days before stole food

One of the most terrible situations that any human being can go through is feeling hungry and not having enough resources to mitigate it. This, on more than one occasion, has led people to steal to feed themselves and move on, in the hope of having the opportunity to improve their lives.

This is precisely the case of a man who stole bread from a coffee shop located in Tuscany, Italy, who later returned to pay for what he had taken. This caused the owners of the place to launch a campaign in search of said thief, not to send him to prison, but to offer him a job.

This peculiar story begins in the city of Pistoya, located in Tuscany, Italy, when the Alibabar 2.0 cafeteria found a note in which a man acknowledged that days ago he had stolen some sweet rolls and coffee because he had not eaten for several days. and did not have enough resources to pay for food.

The letter brought a wave of emotions among the owners of the place and the employees, who were upset by the theft, but at the same time, the story of the man moved them.

However, this would be the beginning of a great story, because days later, the man reappeared and delivered a second note in which he attached some money to pay his debt. It should be noted that this money was not stolen, he got it by asking for alms and helping some passersby.

The owners of the place were moved by the man’s act and did not hesitate to offer him a permanent job in the cafeteria, because in this way he would have a salary with which he could improve his current situation. The story reached local media and the owner of the cafeteria stated:

The other morning our pastry chef had left a tray of brioches out of the closed basket where he usually puts the doughs. When we returned, it was gone. Had someone stolen it? We found this note the next morning. This is the situation in Italy today… People forced to steal out of hunger and return with dignity to pay the debt.

– Marco Bartoletti, owner of the Alibabar

On the other hand, the man in question accepted the job offer and thanked the owners of the place for the opportunity, since he no longer lives on the streets and does not go hungry as before. In addition, he now helps those in a similar situation and hopes to create a chain of aid that benefits everyone.
