The Catalan Government has approved new measures to stop the transmission of the coronavirus, which is growing at a rate of about 5,000 cases diagnosed daily in the community. After its publication in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat, the following restrictions will last 15 days from this Friday, October 30.
Perimeter closure of Catalonia
Essential mobility is excepted, which includes assistance to health and social services, labor, professional, business, institutional or legal obligations, education, return to the place of residence, care for people in need or vulnerable, travel to financial and insurance entities or supply stations in neighboring territories, actions before public, judicial or notarial bodies, the renewal of permits and official documentation and other administrative procedures that cannot be postponed, the performance of examinations or official tests that cannot be postponed and duly accredited causes of force majeure or situation of need.
Municipal lockdown on weekends
From 06:00 hours on Friday to Monday at the same time. In addition to the above exceptions, the mobility of people with prison permits and to practice outdoor sports, individually, between neighboring municipalities will be tolerated. Displacements between towns in the same region to visit cemeteries will be allowed on October 31 and November 1.

The schools will remain open, but online classes will be prioritized in Baccalaureate and training cycles. Telematics teaching continues in most subjects in universities. Services and trade
-You cannot offer services that involve close personal contact, unless it is an essential, health or social health service. Hairdressers are outside the norm.
-Retail of food and essential and basic products can remain open. For the rest of the retail trade, the opening is subject to having a sales area of less than 800 square meters and limiting the capacity to 30% of the license. The premises that exceed these 800 meters must delimit the enclosure and proportionally adapt the reduction in the number of clients.
-Closure of shopping centers. Stores that are inside and sell basic necessities or hygiene products may open. Locals of less than 800 square meters and with access from the public thoroughfare will also be able to operate, with a capacity limited to 30%.
-Sale by phone or internet is allowed with local pick-up, provided that crowds are avoided inside, and with home delivery.
-Non sedentary markets: capacity limited to 30%.
Culture
Suspension of the opening to the public of cinemas, theaters, auditoriums and the like. Archives, museums, exhibition halls, art galleries and creation centers will open with a capacity limited to 33%. The libraries will only work for the reserved document loan service.
On the other hand, civil and religious ceremonies should limit attendance to 30% and fairs, conventions, congresses, major festivals and civic and community activities are suspended.
Sport
Suspension of all activity, except professional sports. Closure of gyms and equipment, except those for technical training and professional leagues. Suspension of all competitions, except national and international ones.
Public parks and gardens
They must close at eight in the afternoon.
