WhatsApp announces partnership with Giphy for new stickers; find out more

The company WhatsApp released a “upgrade” for the use of traditional stickers present in the application. In order to increase the catalog of records in conversation chats, the network carried out a partnership with the Giphy database popular for allowing users to search and share animated gifs. The new feature is present in cell phones that have the most updated version of the platform.

According to a statement from WhatsApp, Giphy’s extensive catalog is now available for use in the app. The new integration allows you to find and share relevant and interesting stickers without having to leave the app or download and save new ones to your account.

To access, simply tap the sticker icon on the keyboard and search using text or emoji. The partnership with Giphy previously existed, but only for sending records in chats in the form of gifs.

In addition to the upgrade, WhatsApp will also allow Android users to create stickers without having to leave the app to use external platforms. The feature was already available for iOS. The update allows users to create stickers from photos and videos in their own gallery.

Recently, the company announced that WhatsApp will no longer work on cell phones with the KaiOS operating system .
