WhatsApp, from the company Meta, announced this Thursday (3) that it has started the implementation of the “Communities” feature in the app worldwide. In the coming months, it should be available to everyone. This novelty allows the user to gather several groups in one place.
According to the company, when entering a community, it is possible to go from one group to another with ease to access the necessary information at the right time. Also, admins can send updates to everyone in the group.
To get started, you need to tap on the new Communities tab, located at the top of conversations on Android and at the bottom on iOS. There, you can start a community from scratch or add existing groups.
WhatsApp has said it will innovate with “an unprecedented level of privacy and security” with end-to-end encryption technology.
In addition to this novelty, the platform also announced three other new features:
- Polls within conversations
- Video call with 32 people
- Groups with up to 1024 users
These resources can be used in any group, including Communities.
