the trajectory of Michel Felicio dates back to 2005, the year he started working in the bar of an Italian restaurant and where he developed a passion for flirtation. After the experience, the luggage increased in size and quality in São Paulo: passed by Grupo Fasano, La Brasserie, Arturito and Attimo.
After the restaurants, he joined the Grand Hyatt São Paulo, a chain that gave him the opportunity to establish his brand in other hotels around the world, such as Dubai e Abu Dhabi.
Back in Brazil, he opened his own bar, Pineapple Bar, in Pinheiros, which was a long-standing dream. After the consolidation of the work, then came the partnership with the couple Alexandre Vorpagel and Laura Oliveira to create the Bottega 21.
Bar with Italian airs, Bottega combines good food with signature and classic drinks. The establishment has no tables and has rustic decor and a pleasant atmosphere on Rua dos Pinheiros.
Outside the counter, Michel tries other flavors around the city and shares his choices of where to “drink very well” in São Paulo, always accompanied by equally delicious food:
asian icon
It goes without saying that the food of the Icon is good: stand at the counter and see the Roberto Satoru, The beto it’s the Alexandre Ortigoso cooking is amazing. From their hands come baos, sandos, ceviche and gyudon, among other dishes, which are delicious.
But make no mistake: there are also good classic drinks that go great with food, such as margarita, aperol spritz and negroni.

Sylvester Bar
THE Sylvester is Bottega’s neighbor and has a simpler decor: this is the kind of bar that bartenders are looking for! In fact, it is the real bar for bartenders – it is not uncommon to find professional colleagues there.
The drinks are really good, and the bar is run by the Frajola Souza. From there come classic creations as well as authorial ones, such as the dry fig, with gin, fruit-infused dry vermouth and aromatic bitters, and the sylvester daiquiri, an interpretation of the house with a touch of coffee.

Molotov Bar
No Molotov It’s simple: here you can eat pizza and drink very well. There’s no error. Located in Pinheiros, this is a bar for those who arrive hungry, want to fill their stomachs and then have a drink.
From the kitchen come rustic potatoes, tapioca dadinho, artisanal burger, among other delicacies to satisfy hunger and share with colleagues.
From the bar, in addition to the classics, the authors make beautiful dishes, such as the sweet and bitter apple pie negroni, which comes with applesauce and cinnamon sticks; the jambu sour, with Jambuzera cachaça, Sicilian lemon juice and dehydrated egg whites; and the citrusy kyuri punch!, with pisco, elderflower syrup and Japanese cucumber.

Peak
THE Peak is another place in Pinheiros that I recommend to eat and drink well. The house is on Rua Lisboa, close to Praça Benedito Calixto, and has a very interesting and cool area at the back – an outdoor backyard surrounded by graffiti.
There, the classic drinks, between penicillin, jasmine and fitzgerald, are very well made, as well as the original ones, such as sahy, with gin, Sicilian lemon and purple tincture (purple potatoes and lavender). The menu also offers Neapolitan pizzas and Italian snacks.

Guillotine Bar
for me the Guillotine needs no comments, as it is impossible not to be happy with any drink that comes out of there.
With an amazing menu, it was elected the 15th best bar among 50 best in the world in 2019 by the prestigious World’s 50 Best award. Between the authorial and the classics – there are more than 140 possibilities -, my tip is simple: order something with cachaça!
