White House national security spokesman John Kirby said Thursday (5) that Russian President Vladimir Putin should stop talking about the upcoming US election, after Putin said Moscow wanted Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris to win, in a provocative comment.
“Mr. Putin should stop talking about our elections, period. He should not favor anyone one way or the other,” Kirby said.
His comments came a day after the US Justice Department charged two Russian media executives with an alleged illegal scheme to influence the November election with pro-Russian propaganda.
