After the resounding success of “Barbie”, many people would like the film to have a sequel. In an interview with AP Entertainmentthe protagonist Margot Robbie commented on the possibility of a live-action sequel.
The actress said that a successful feature film does not necessarily need to have a continuation. “I believe we introduced everything we wanted into this live-action. We didn’t build the film to be a trilogy or anything like that. Greta [Gerwig, diretora do longa] really put everything he could into this film, so it’s hard to imagine what could happen in a sequel,” he said.
Furthermore, she commented on one of the biggest lessons she taught the cast after recording one of the most watched films of the year. “I would say the biggest lesson we can learn from Barbie is that original films can be hugely successful. There is no need to make a sequel or remake. The film could be completely original,” she commented.
After grossing billions of dollars at the box office around the world, the live-action “Barbie ” is now available and can be seen on several streaming platforms.
