Will Smith revealed, in an interview with the YouTube channel First We Feast, that he tried to adopt the dog with whom he starred in the film “I Am Legend”, released in 2007.
At the program launched on Thursday (6)the star of “King Richard: Creating Champions” and “The Pursuit of Happyness” said he was unable to take Abbey home because she was his family’s breadwinner and needed to stay with them.
Smith praised the performance of the dog, who played Samantha, his character’s companion in the plot.
““It was like working with a brilliant actress,” declared the American actor. “How do you train a dog to limp?” said Smith, citing the scene in which Samantha is injured in the film.
The actor said, in December 2023, that he is already working on the sequel to the film. This week, Michael B. Jordan revealed, in an interview with Peoplewho is working on the script for the film alongside Will Smith.
“I’m not sure where we’re not going to film, but I’m really excited to be in front of the camera with him. I’ve admired him for a long time and being able to work with Will is something I really want,” said the “Black Panther” and “Creed” star.
