The actress Demi Moore will host the 30th edition of the glamorous charity gala organized by amfAR (Aids Research Foundation, in English), which is held annually together with the Cannes Film Festival.
After a cocktail in the immaculate grounds of the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc, dinner guests, who pay at least US$25,000 for a single seat, will be entertained by Cher and Nick Jonas .
“I have wonderful memories of being invited to host one of the first amfAR events in Cannes by my friend Elizabeth Taylor,” Cher said in a statement before the event.
The legendary pop icon and award winner Oscar, Grammy and Emmy co-chaired the gala alongside Taylor in 1996, contributing to the initial success of the event, which was first held in 1993. She was honored with amfAR's Inspiration Award in 2015.
